The new Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX7 is the successor to the GX1. It's a small, Micro Four Thirds compact system camera with interchangeable lenses and all the versatility an enthusiast photographer could want.
It's got an aluminium body, weighs just over 400g and is available in kit-form with a 14-42mm zoom lens. With this attached, it's quite bulky and more suited to carrying in a camera bag than a pocket. At £820 for its body-only, the Lumix DMC-GX7 is a rival to the similarly pricey Sony NEX-7 and Fujifilm X-Pro1.
